Apple Watch Ultra 2
On September 13, Apple launched the Apple Watch Ultra 2 smartwatch, featuring a new S9 processor, a second-generation ultra-wideband chip and the brightest Apple Watch display to date.
With a display brightness of up to 3,000 nits, Apple Watch Ultra 2 is the brightest of all Apple Watch displays.
Apple Watch Ultra 2 uses the S9 chip, which is 60% more transistors and 30% faster than the S8 chip used in the original Apple Watch Ultra. According to Apple, the S9 chip also has a quad-core neural engine that can speed up neural tasks by a factor of 2.
Apple Watch Ultra 2 features a new second-generation ultra-wideband chip that makes it easier to find your iPhone with Apple Watch Ultra, and it also supports precise finding.
Apple Watch Ultra 2 also supports the new two-finger tap gesture (Double Tap), which can be performed by tapping the index finger and thumb to answer a call, end a call, pause an alarm, play or pause music, and more will be available next month.
The appearance of the Apple Watch Ultra 2 has not changed, and the case is 95% recycled titanium. There's also a new Modular Ultra watch face, and night mode now turns on automatically in the dark thanks to the ambient light sensor. In addition, the Depth app now saves a log of each session in the fitness app.
