Samsung One UI 9.0 Update Rolls Out to Galaxy Z Fold 6 and Z Flip 6

Samsung Expands One UI 9.0 Stable Update to Galaxy Z Fold 6 and Z Flip 6 Worldwide

Samsung is expanding the rollout of its One UI 9.0 stable update to the Galaxy Z Fold 6 and Galaxy Z Flip 6, bringing the latest software improvements to more users worldwide. Based on Android 17, the update was initially released in South Korea before reaching the United States. India is now among the first international markets to receive the latest version as Samsung continues to extend its global deployment.

Currently, the stable update is primarily available to users participating in Samsung’s One UI testing program. The Galaxy Z Fold 6 update package measures 468.43MB and carries firmware version F956BXXU4EZIH. Meanwhile, the Galaxy Z Flip 6 has also started receiving the stable release, although its update size and firmware details have not yet been confirmed. Samsung is expected to expand availability to users outside the testing program in the coming weeks.

Galaxy Z Fold 6 and Z Flip 6 owners can check for the update by opening Settings > Software Update > Download and Install. Since Samsung typically distributes major software updates in stages, availability may differ depending on the country, region, and device variant.

Compared with One UI 8.5, One UI 9.0 introduces several improvements designed to enhance usability and productivity. These include additional customization options for the Quick Panel, an improved experience with Samsung DeX and Samsung Notes, and a new location privacy indicator. The update also brings new AI-related features, further expanding Samsung’s software capabilities.

The broader rollout marks another step in Samsung’s effort to deliver its latest software experience to its foldable smartphone lineup. Users who have not yet received the update should check their device periodically for notifications as the rollout continues to expand.
