Samsung Galaxy S25: February 7th Launch & a SURPRISE!

South Korean media "Financial News" announced today that Samsung's next-generation flagship smartphone "Galaxy S25" series will be officially launched on February 7th, along with a lightweight version of the "Galaxy S25 Slim". The new series is equipped with enhanced AI capabilities and upgraded hardware configurations, aiming to expand its market share in the high-end smartphone market.

According to industry news, Samsung will hold a "Galaxy Unpacked" press conference in the United States at 3:00 am on January 23, 2025, officially unveiling the Galaxy S25 series. The internal schedule shows that the product will be available for pre-sale from January 24th to February 3rd, with early activation services for pre order users starting from February 4th, and finally officially launched on February 7th.

The new series will add a "Slim" version, following the traditional standard, Plus, and Ultra versions, in response to the market's demand for thinner and lighter smartphones. The Slim version will make its debut at next year's Unpacked event and is expected to be thinner than the standard version (7.6mm) of the previous generation Galaxy S24. Since the release of the "Galaxy Alpha" in 2014, Samsung has not released a similar Slim version for nearly 11 years.

The hardware configuration of the Galaxy S25 series is expected to be significantly upgraded. Due to production bottlenecks faced by Samsung's own Exynos 2500 processor, it may fully adopt Qualcomm's Snapdragon 8 Ultimate Edition.

In addition, the Ultra version will provide 16GB of memory, with storage capacities of 512GB and 1TB respectively,. This is also the first time since the 2021 Galaxy S21 Ultra that Samsung has equipped its flagship series with 16GB of memory. Analysts believe that Samsung has made improvements in memory to ensure smooth operation of local AI functions. In terms of cameras, the pixel count of the ultra wide angle lens will be increased from 12 million to 50 million, further improving camera performance. The new series will also be equipped with enhanced security generative AI functionality and Samsung's next-generation operating system, One UI 7.
