OPPO Find X9 & OnePlus 14 Rumored to Ditch Curved Screens

The question of whether a smartphone is better with a straight screen or a curved screen has always been a concern for the industry and consumers. As one of the mainstream mobile phone manufacturers in China, OPPO and its subsidiary OnePlus will adopt a large number of straight screen designs for their flagship new phones in 2025.

In December of this year, OPPO's two major sub brands, realme and OnePlus, successively released realme Neo 7, OnePlus Ace 5, and OnePlus Ace 5 Pro models, all of which adopt a straight screen design. And the previous generations of these three new models, such as the realme GT Neo 6, OnePlus Ace 3, OnePlus Ace 3 Pro, etc., all adopt curved screen design. At present, OPPO and its sub brands may continue to promote the strategy of "abandoning music and investing in direct sales" next year.

It is reported that next year, OPPO and OnePlus will extensively switch to straight screen models in their new iterations, including the first wave of Dimensity 9500 and Snapdragon SM8850 models at the end of the year, as well as large cup products such as OPPO Find X9, OPPO Find X9 Pro, OnePlus 14/OnePlus 15, etc.

Referring to the OPPO Find X8 series, the OPPO Find X9 is expected to be equipped with a 1.5K OLED screen, the first batch will be equipped with the Dimensity 9500 chip, a rear dual periscope telephoto lens and a large bottom main camera, with a built-in 6000mAh or even higher capacity battery, supporting 100 watt wired charging and wireless charging.
