Global AMOLED Smartphone Panel Market Share: 2024 Leaders
In 2024, Samsung ranked first and BOE ranked second in global AMOLED smartphone panel shipments
Data agency CINNO Research has released global AMOLED smartphone panel shipment data for 2024.
According to statistics from the agency, the global market for AMOLED smartphone panels will ship approximately 880 million pieces in 2024, a year-on-year increase of 27.0% and a historic high. This significant achievement is attributed to the gradual recovery of the global economy, the sustained recovery of the smartphone terminal market, the strengthening of consumer confidence, and the increasing demand for high-end display technology; Meanwhile, the continuous release of domestic AMOLED production capacity and its continuous penetration into the low-end product market have also become key factors driving market development.
From a regional perspective, in 2024, the global AMOLED smartphone panel market in South Korea accounted for 50.8% of the market share; Domestic manufacturers accounted for 49.2% of shipments, nearly 50%, an increase of 6 percentage points year-on-year. This change reflects the increasing influence of domestic manufacturers in the global AMOLED smartphone panel market.
From the perspective of manufacturers, Samsung Display's (SDC) shipment volume increased by 9.8% year-on-year, and its market share narrowed from 49.9% last year to 43.2%, a decrease of 6.8 percentage points year-on-year. Its domestic brand order volume continues to shift towards domestic manufacturers; BOE's shipment volume increased by 22.6% year-on-year, ranking second in the world with a market share of 15.7% and firmly holding the first place in China. Although its market share decreased by 0.6 percentage points year-on-year, BOE's strong performance still demonstrates its leading advantage in the domestic AMOLED market; At the same time, Visionox has also shown strong growth momentum, with a year-on-year increase of 44.3% in shipments and a market share of 11.2%, up 1.3 percentage points year-on-year, ranking third globally and second domestically.
