Apple iPhone Ultra

The iPhone Ultra is a foldable smartphone from Apple Inc., expected to be released in the fall of 2026. This product is positioned as an AI driven smartphone and serves as an Ultra flagship, significantly higher than the existing iPhone Pro series, with a starting price of approximately $2000.

On March 8, 2026, Bloomberg reporter Mark Gurman confirmed that Apple plans to launch the iPhone Ultra in 2026. On April 22, 2026, Vadim Yuryev posted a tweet on the X platform to showcase the model. On May 5, 2026, the YouTube channel Unbox Therapy released a video sharing the experience of getting started with an iPhone Ultra model.

The iPhone Ultra adopts a book style folding design or a flip style folding design, similar to the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold series, with an outer screen size of about 5.3 to 5.5 inches and an inner screen size of about 7.6 to 7.8 inches, and is equipped with an under screen sensor.

Cancel Face ID and switch to the Touch ID side button integrated into the power button. The entire machine is equipped with 4 cameras, including dual front facing cameras. The body is made of titanium alloy material, and the hinge part is made of liquid metal. The durability is improved through die-casting processing technology and metal support plates, achieving a nearly wrinkle free effect.

In December 2024, Apple announced a new hinge design patent that enhances flexibility and durability through finger like and crescent groove structures. Equipped with TSMC's 2nm process A20 Pro chip, it supports eSIM technology and provides exclusive features such as split screen when running iOS 27 system.

In April 2026, Bloomberg reported that screen quality and overall durability issues had been resolved. Cancel the telephoto lens and magnetic MagSafe, and adopt a pure eSIM design. In June 2026, the iPhone Ultra foldable phone model was exposed in two colors. On June 15th, it was announced that the iPhone Ultra will be released in early 2027.
